Casting Call Set For Hank Williams Biopic, ‘I Saw the Light’

'I Saw the Light', the feature film starring British actor Tom Hiddleston in the role of country music legend Hank Williams, begins filming here in town next month. And now, producers have announced an open casting call to be held this Sunday, September 14th.

The open call, will take place at 6901 W. 70th St. in Shreveport from 11am til 4pm. Casting directors are looking for actors for speaking roles. In addition, extras of all ages are being sought and anyone who has 'country and western' outfits should attend the audition in those clothes.

Everyone interested should bring a current, non-returnable photograph.

Casting directors are also looking for period vehicles, 1930 - 50. It is not necessary to bring the vehicle, but good photos are requested.

'I Saw the Light' is based on the biography of Williams by Colin Escott. The film has a tentative release date of late 2015.
