Shreveport is still having trash troubles and the city's CAO still maintains what has happened this week is politically motivated.

KEEL News talked with Brian Crawford about the problems with workers calling in sick this week.

Crawford says some workers have left Shreveport jobs for higher paying jobs with the private company that handles Bossier garbage collection.  When we asked Crawford about the Mayor's claim that this was politically motivated, he told us "you and you're listener's are smart enough to figure this out. It's the week of the election and they decided to do this to disrupt city services."  He says the workers did not come to him or to the Mayor to discuss the problems they claim to be having. He says more workers called in sick on Thursday and the city did have to bring in a private company to help get caught up on picking up garbage in several neighborhoods.
