Candler to Attend Conference

She's been involved in a number of political campaigns -- even ran for the Shreveport City Council herself.  Now recent LSUS graduate Deanna Candler has something else to add to her lengthy resume'.She's been selected as a 2011 Eagle Forum Collegiate Scholar and invited to speak at the group's annual summit in Washington, D.C. this week.  While in Washington, Candler will be attending several events to honor the Scholars, including a reception hosted by businessman Donald Trump. Students from around the country were invited to apply for the scholarship. Based on the essays they submitted, ten of them were chosen to address this week's conference.
