44-year-old Derek Daniel was arrested Wednesday outside Sam's Town Casino where detectives say he was metting a 14-year-old girl for sex.

According to investigators, the year long investigation revealed that Daniel, of Shreveport, while online, engaged in numerous sexually orientated conversations with whom he believed was a 14-year-old female.

During those conversations, Daniel is accused of soliciting sexual favors.  On November 30, 2011, Daniel made preparations to meet the purported 14-year-old female at Sam's Town Casino in Shreveport.

Upon his arrival and after a positive identification was made, Daniel was taken into custody without incident and later booked into the Caddo Correctional Center  for one count of online solicitation of a minor.
