On Wednesday, over two dozen students from the Project DREAM class in Caddo Parish set off for Atlanta, Georgia. During the three day trip students will visit the Ron Clark Academy, a school that has been recognized all across the world for using creativity in the classroom. Students will also celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday by visiting the MLK Center. The trip will conclude with a tour of the Civil Rights Museum.

"Atlanta is the home to immense history and culture and these activities will provide our children with a greater understanding of their own history while also influencing their future.” - Dr. Lamar Goree, Superintendent of Caddo Schools

Project DREAM (Daring to Raise Educational Achievement for Males) began in 2015. The program aims to increase graduation rates for males by providing mentors from the community to serve as role models for students.
