The Caddo Sheriff's Office is planning to offer a specialized training class for those who drive vans for churches and non-profit organizations.  The course was developed at Sheriff Steve Prator's request by instructors at the Caddo Sheriff's Regional Training Academy.   It covers specifics of defensive driving for operators of passenger vans and all components of it are taught in the classroom -- not behind the wheel.  The course will be taught at Sheriff's Safety Town on Saturday, November 19th, from 8 a.m. until noon.  There's no charge for churches and non-profit agencies in the area but you do have to pre-register.  Preference will be given to Caddo Parish residents.   Call Deputy Andrea Samuel at 681-0735 to sign up or for more information.
