A rash of car burglaries in the Mooringsport area has got the Caddo Parish Sheriff's office on the lookout for anyone with any information.

At least seventeen cars were broken into in the early morning hours of Friday, May 6. A press release from the CPSO says that there is some evidence that they are already working.

Three people with flashlights were caught on video exiting what appeared to be a silver Chrysler 300, similar to the one in the attached photo. The suspects entered a vehicle in the 100 block of East Allen Street. Break-ins also occurred on Weston, Lakeview, Evelyn, Caddo Lease, Francis, Croom, and Hwy. 169, all within a five-mile area. All of the vehicles were unlocked.

Taken in the burglaries were guns, electronics, cell phones, keys, a backpack, a checkbook, and other personal items.

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying these subjects. If you have information that could help in this investigation, please contact Detective Matt Purgerson at 675-2170 or 681-0700, or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
