Caddo Reserve Deputies to Graduate

It's taken a long time, but graduation day has finally arrived.  They've been meeting every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday since March 29th. And, come six o'clock this evening, fifteen men and women will officially become the newest members of the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Reserve Program. Also graduating this evening will be one reserve deputy from the Desoto Parish Sheriff's Office and one part-time officer from the Winnfield Police Department. Reserve deputies have the same training and arrest powers as full-time deputies. The only difference is that reserve deputies are unpaid volunteers with the department. They're called upon regularly for extra patrols and large-scale operations.
