As we move deeper into the holiday season, Louisiana State Police are cracking down harder and harder on drunk drivers.  Toward that end, Troop G plans to set up a sobriety checkpoint somewhere in Caddo Parish sometime between 10 o'clock Friday night and 4 o'clock Saturday morning.  We can't tell you exactly where that checkpoint is going to be because State Police have not told us.  Nor can we tell you the exact times.  State Police (and all other law enforcement agencies) are only required to tell us the general area where the checkpoint will be located and the general hours during which it will be operating.

If you should ever encounter a driver who you think might be impaired -- or any other road condition that you think might need immediate attention -- you can report it by dialing *LSP (that's *577) on your cell phone.
