Caddo Parish School Board Member Lillian Priest Dies
Caddo Parish School Board member Lilian Priest has died, Caddo Schools spokesman Bill Sharp confirmed Tuesday night. Priest cited health reasons for her decision not to run for re-election. Priest has been described as the glue that held the school board together.

Priest was co-owner and Marketing & Development Officer of JaLi`Ve Enterprises, LLC., a local Consulting, Planning and Training company. She was born on April 14, 1954. She has 15 years of municipal government experience. She is a former City Planner, Executive to the Mayor and Director of the Urban Development Department for the City of Shreveport.
In November 2004, she was elected as a member of the Caddo Parish School Board District 7. In February of 2008 she was elected to serve as Chair of the Caddo Parish Democratic Executive Committee.
