The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office will lead a multi-agency sobriety checkpoint this Labor Day weekend, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

The checkpoint will be conducted on the south end of the parish on Friday, September 2, utilizing the recently acquired BAT mobile.

Louisiana State Police and Shreveport Police will join the Caddo Sheriff's Office in conducting the checkpoint. All three agencies will also have increased patrols this weekend in an

effort to reduce alcohol-related crashes.

The checkpoint is funded in part by grants from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
