Caddo District Court Cases We’re Following For You

Judge Scott Crichton

Eric Dale Mickelson (d.o.b. 3-3-69) is due in court at 9:30 a.m. for sentencing on his conviction of first degree murder in the slaying of Charles Martin. Mickelson was found guilty of first degree murder by a Caddo Parish jury on Aug. 3.  The jury on Aug. 5 recommended the death penalty. Judge Crichton will officially hand down the sentence. 

Judge Mike Pitman

Derrick Dewayne Edwards (d.o.b. 9-20-74) is scheduled for arguments and hearings on a second degree murder charge. Edwards is accused of the June, 2011 stabbing death of Tyronne Miles during an altercation at a residence in the 500 block of E. 74^th St.

Timothy L. Washington (d.o.b. 12-19-83) will be in court for further proceedings on a charge of vehicular homicide. Washington is charged in connection with the December, 2007 death of Jeffrey Brown in a traffic accident at Greenwood Rd. and Calderwood. Investigators say the accident was alcohol related. 

Judge Roy Brun

Testimony is underway and will most likely continue Wednesday in the jury trial of Jerry Lynn Wallace (d.o.b. 1-23-58) on a charge of indecent behavior with a juvenile. Caddo Parish Assistant District Attorney Keya Ellis is prosecuting; Murray Salinas is attorney for the defense.
