Caddo Deputy Involved In Wreck

The Caddo Sheriff’s Office is currently working an accident at Greenoowd Road and Bert Kouns. The accident involved a Caddo sheriff’s deputy assigned to investigations.  The deputy works in an undercover capacity so his identity will not be released. Witnesses said a Chevy van was traveling north on Bert Kouns attempting a left turn when its driver ran the stop sign and was hit by an oncoming truck driven by the deputy. The deputy was taken to LSUHSC for treatment. The occupants of the van were taken to local hospitals by ground transportation. The accident is still being investigated. Injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
