Looking for an organization to donate to before the end of the year? Caddo Council on Aging Executive Director Mary Alice Rountree suggests helping our area seniors. The organization is down about $100,000 from this time last year -- and that means a lot of elderly residents are being put on a waiting list for meals on wheels deliveries. And these are meals they need NOW, not next week or next month. She says no gift is too small...and it's all tax-deductible. Also keep in mind that the CCOA has a couple of fundraisers coming up in March that you'll want to be a part of...the March for Meals on Wheels and Monopoly Night. The last Monopoly event sold out -- but sponsorships for next year's event are still available. To grab your spot -- or make a Meals on Wheels donation -- just call 676-7900. Rountree says you'll always get a live person on the phone when you call.
