Caddo Commission Approves Bike Path Measure

After much heated debate, the Caddo Parish Commission has voted to set aside money to build new bike paths through Caddo Parish. The Commission will cover costs for engineering services, administration fees and pay at least 20 percent of construction costs. They hope a federal grant will cover the other 80 percent.

The paths will be designed to connect schools, shopping areas, workplaces and other high traffic areas for cyclists.
