Brian Horn, accused of killing 12-year-old Justin Bloxom, has been found guilty by a jury in DeSoto District Court.

The prosecution called witnesses and rested Tuesday (April 1), and Horn's defense team rested Wednesday morning without calling any witnesses. Judge Robert Burgess told KEEL News that the jury took just 45 minutes to deliberate.

The long-delayed trial began last week. Horn was arrested for the 2010 murder of Bloxom. This March marked four years to the month since Bloxom's body was discovered near Highway 171.

The penalty phase of Horn's trial is set to begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 3.
