[UPDATE, May 27, 2015] Agents say 9-year-old Caitlyn Williams was kidnapped by her uncle, 24-year-old Jesse Williams.

An Amber Alert was issued for her in Texas after she didn't return home from visiting with friends over the weekend. Williams died following a shootout with police and FBI agents. Caitlyn has been safely returned home.


[UPDATE] More info has been released about this afternoon's shooting at the Days Inn on John Wesley Boulevard.

Agents and Task Force Officers from the FBI's Shreveport Resident Agency were investigating the kidnapping of a 9-year-old girl from Texas. They encountered the alleged suspect and a struggle ensued.

During the struggle, an FBI agent was shot. His wounds are not believed to be life-threatening. The suspect was also shot, but his status and identity can't be confirmed yet.

The child was safely recovered. She was medically evaluated and released. The FBI continues to investigate.

[ORIGINAL STORY] A shooting happened this afternoon that involved an FBI agent at a local hotel in Bossier City.

Few other details are available at this time. Bossier City Public Information Officer Mark Natale confirmed the incident occurred, but said official details will come from the FBI.
