UPDATE: Fire Reported At SciPort Exhibit

BlackBerry photo by John Lee

Shreveport firefighters are working to clear smoke out of Sci-Port: Louisiana’s Science Center…after a second-floor exhibit caught fire. There were about 1,000 school kids inside at the time, but all of them — and all staff members — got out safely. No major damage or injuries have been reported. The fire didn’t affect the “Bodies Revealed” exhibit, which is set up on the first floor. A portion of Clyde Fant Parkway will be shut down until everything’s taken care of.
