Even celebrities have bucket lists, and Brad Pitt is no exception. In a recent interview with GQ, the actor admits that toking up with Willie Nelson used to be one of his ambitions -- before he got sober.

"Back in my stoner days, I wanted to smoke a joint with Jack and Snoop and Willie. You know, when you're a stoner, you get these really stupid ideas," Pitt says. "Well, I don't want to indict the others, but I haven't made it to Willie yet."

Although Pitt tells GQ that he's completely sober now, following his split from Angelina Jolie in 2016, he's not the only one who's wanted to get high (and done it) will Nelson. Had Pitt succeeded in his quest, he would have joined the ranks of celebrities from across genres and generations who have taken part in one of Nelson's favorite pastimes, including Merle Haggard, who made a music video for the song "It's All Going to Pot" with Nelson in 2015.

Then there's Toby Keith, who released the song "Weed With Willie" on his Shock'n Y'all album. The humorous tune is a nod to the many celebrities who have burned one with Nelson, and why it's such an experience.

Then again, Pitt isn't the only one to miss out on the experience of smoking with Nelson: Loretta Lynn tried pot for the very first time only recently, but she wasn't sold on the experience. Nelson, one of her longtime friends, says he's ready to help her give it another try, but it doesn't sound as though Lynn is eager to take him up on that offer.

In addition to being country music's most well-known pot smoker, Nelson also has his own line of marijuana, Willie's Reserve. It's available in states where the drug is legal.
