The Bossier Sheriff's Young Marines program has a new commander.  

During a change of command ceremony today (Wednesday,) Deputy Steve Hoff relinquished command to Instructor Lavaro Ramey.

Ramey recently retired from the U.S. Marine Corps as a First Sergeant with more than 21 years of service and has been working with the Young Marines program for the past couple of years.  Hoff has served as commander of the program for the past two years. He's an 8-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and has been with the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office for the past four years.
