Sargent Barrett Lovell is a popular man at the Bossier Sheriff's Department, so much so that his co-workers are lining up to help the Bossier Deputy in his fight with cancer.

Lovell's friends and co-workers will be holding a lunchtime fish fry this Friday at 203 Burt Boulevard in Benton, across the street from the Bossier Courthouse. The cost is $10 and the funds raised will go to the Lovell family to help with mounting medical costs. Sgt. Lovell is currently being treated at Houston's M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Pick up for pre-sale will begin Friday morning at 10 and walk-up orders will start at 11. Payment can be made by check payable to Barrett Lovell..

For tickets or other donation information, those interested can call Frances Kilgore at 318 935-2000, Mary Kerry at 318 965-3409 or Billy Jones at 318 422-7466.
