Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington will host the North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy graduation of 21 law enforcement officers Friday morning. The graduation will be held at the Bossier Sheriff’s Office training facility on Old Plain Dealing Road.  

The guest speaker will be Honorable Judge Mike Craig of the 26th Judicial District Court of Bossier and Webster.

The new officers completed 11 ½ week training schedule in Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) certification.  The grads learned officer survival, active shooter, officer down scenarios, academics and weapons qualifications, as well as physical fitness, chemical weapons, legal, defensive tactics and driving.

The graduates represent six different area law enforcement agencies, including police departments from Bossier City, Dixie Inn and Haynesville and sheriff’s offices from Bienville, Bossier and Webster Parishes.
