The National Weather Service has informed Bossier Parish officials that the area received heavy rain in excess of two to three inches, while communities upstream of the Red River also received large amounts of rain from Tropical Depression Bill.

Bossier Parish responders continue to maintain flood response plans, equipment and to monitor levees and inland waterways. Residents are asked to keep their sandbags until further notice and monitor forecasts from the National Weather Service.

Sand bags remain available at these locations:

Elm Grove Elementary School in south Bossier Parish

Tooke Memorial Library on Fairview Point Rd. in south Bossier Parish

Bossier Parish Highway Department Maintenance Barn, 7am to 3pm.

Bossier City Public Service Complex on Old Shed Road, 7am to 3pm.
