Another big week is ahead for kids at Bossier Parish Schools, as they say goodbye to the Daraja Children's Choir, which visited several schools throughout the past week.

Here's a list of events for February 29-March 4, courtesy of Schools Liaison Sonja Bailes:

Monday, February 29

Black History Month Trivia Competition
Stockwell Place Elementary
8:30 a.m.

As Black History Month wraps up, Stockwell Place students will put their knowledge about famous African Americans to the test in a trivia contest. Throughout the month of February, students at Stockwell Place Elementary have been learning about famous figures via Google Classroom.

They have been watching videos and reading articles, then taking trivia quizzes on Fridays on Kahoots, which allows students to log in with a special code and take a quiz created by Stockwell staff. It's been a great way to integrate technology, history and current events and excite students about learning.

There will be a final trivia championship at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 29. Students will take their final quizzes and once scores are tallied, winners will be announced. Each class also selected a person to study and will be making a presentation to share with the school.
