You're a Junior in High School and you've just been booked into the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility. That's just one of the experiences that a group of Bossier Parish students went through today.

Thirty six Juniors from all six Bossier High Schools, who are participating in the Bossier Youth Leadership program, spent the day exposed to all aspects of the criminal justice system.

They took a tour of the North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy in Plain Dealing; they were "booked" into Bossier Max; they met with representatives of each Bossier law enforcement agency; and they sat in on a Bossier City Court session.

The Bossier Youth Leadership program is sponsored by the Bossier Chamber of Commerce and the Bossier Parish School Board.  It's geared toward High School Juniors who have demonstrated leadership abilities and it's intended to develop and strengthen their leadership skills.
