Palm scanners were supposed to be introduced to Waller Elementary school on Monday, but after the public's reaction, that has been delayed to April 2.

The system is currently used in every state according to the school system, but Bossier schools are just introducing the system now to the Ark-La-Tex.

School officials say the system is completely safe and makes it easier to for parents to move funds between children. It also prevents other students from stealing school lunch money from other students.

But residents have voiced their concern about the privacy of such a device. Some have even gone as far to say that this is only the beginning of more government intrusion.
