With another day of rain today (Saturday) and even more showers on the way, Bossier Parish officials want citizens to know that precautions are in place to assist those concerned about high water.

With a flash flood watch already in place, Parish officials remind residents that some low lying areas are more prone to flooding.

To ensure safety, sandbags will be available to the public for pickup tomorrow (Sunday, March 22) from 9am til 5pm at the Bossier Parish Highway Department Barn at 410 Mayfield St. in Benton and the Bossier City Public Service Complex at 3223 Old Shed Road.

Parish officials also tell residents that as more rain falls, residents should keep a watchful eye for flooding conditions in their area.
