Over the past two years, one or more people have caused nearly $100-thousand in damages to various deer camp sites in northern Bossier Parish. They've burned camps, placed sharp spikes on the roads, and stolen deer stands, feeders, cameras, and other items at deer camp sites in the area around Highway 160 and Old Plain Dealing Road. The most recent incident happened on October 17th when a deer camp was burned to the ground. Sheriff Julian Whittington says the damage and dollar loss is bad enough but the biggest concern is that this person or persons be stopped before somebody gets hurt -- or worse. He's asking anybody who might have any information to contact Bossier Crime Stoppers immediately by calling 424-4100 or leaving a tip at www.bossiercrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers is offering an $870 reward.
