A 51-year-old Bossier City woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing from the elderly woman for whom she was sitting.

Bossier Financial Crimes Task Force Detectives have arrested Robin Early and charged her with theft of assets of an aged person.  Specifically, she's accused of stealing a credit card from a 93-year-old woman who had hired her as a sitter last year.  Detectives say she then used the credit card to make approximately $2000 worth of unauthorized purchases.  In addition, they say she also stole some of the victim's jewelry.

Detectives say Early worked as an independent sitter and was not affiliated with any agency.  They're now investigating whether she might have been involved in other thefts of this nature while working for other people.  So they're asking anyone who might have hired her as a sitter in the past to call the Bossier Financial Crimes Task Force at 741-8831.
