Mason is a  senior at Parkway High School, and the daughter of Teri Bates and Rob McArthur, of Bossier City.  The auditions will be held Tuesday,  July 17th at the New Orleans Arena.

Mason has been singing most of her life,  in choirs and at basketball games at Elm Grove Middle School and Parkway High.  She has also performed solos at Bel Air Baptist and Simple Church, both in Bossier City.

Mason's talent will be singing.  She raises the roof  regularly with her rendition of The National Anthem at various school events.

The teenager is involved in numerous activities in the community as  a member of AHEC, where she was named Most Friendliest. She also was named

Queen of Questions for being one who truly believes that no question is a dumb question.

Mason told me she wants to be a an anesthesiologist, and has interned in the medical field.

We wish her the best in New Orleans.
