Bossier City Road Closed Due to Water Main Break
Some Bossier City motorists may be inconvenienced after a water main burst on a residential street and forced the closure of the road for repairs.
Bossier City spokesman Mark Natalee tells KEELNews the damage already has been repaired in the 700 block of Hamilton Road, but the road will remain closed a couple more days to allow the cement to dry.
Hamilton Road is closed from Scott Street at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church to the traffic signal at Texas Street.
Motorists can detour around the blockage by turning right at Scott Street, then left onto Youree Street, and following Youree Street to Texas Street.
Natalee says the main broke Monday, but repairs were able to be made without water having to be cut off, so there was no interruption of water service.
The road should be re-opened sometime on Friday.
