The city originally held the event in August but it was so hot city leaders elected to change the date to a cooler day in October.  This year, it's being held October, 2nd from 6-9 pm.

Natalee says the purpose of  this special night is to promote crime and drug prevention awareness, and to strengthen neighborhood spirit.

If your neighborhood is planning to observe this special evening and you want to close a street, you must submit a petition to the Community Services Division of the Bossier City Police Department and it must be signed by 51 percent of the residents of the street to be blocked. Those forms are available online at bossierpolice.com.
