[UPDATE Dec. 2nd, 2013]  Bossier City police have arrested two people wanted in connection with last week's carjacking at the Circle K on Barksdale Boulevard at Hamilton Road. 

A Bossier Crime Stoppers tip led detectives to obtain arrest warrants for 46-year-old Noel Wayne Smith of Prairieville, Louisiana, and 46-year-old Tamara Amo of Spokane, Washington.  Smith was located in Bossier City, and Amo was picked up the same day in Lafayette after Bossier detectives learned of her location.

Smith is now at Bossier Max, and arrangements are being made to extradite Amo back to Bossier City.  They're both charged with armed robbery.  Police recovered the stolen vehicle in Shreveport.  (NOTE:  Mug shot of Amo is unavailable, since she was arrested in another jurisdiction.)


[ORIGINAL STORY, Nov. 27th, 2013]  The Bossier City Police Department and Bossier Crime Stoppers are asking the public for help with identifying and locating two suspects involved in an early-morning carjacking.The two male victims tell police the incident happened just before 4:30 yesterday morning after a man and a woman asked them for a ride while they were getting gas at the Circle K store on Barksdale Boulevard at Hamilton Road. The victims agreed and as they drove with the suspect heading north on Hamilton Road near the intersection of East Texas Street, the female suspect pulled out a handgun and robbed the victims of their car, a 2012 Hyundai Elantra, along with an undisclosed amount of cash and two cell phones. The two suspects then drove off in the stolen car.
