Bossier City Police Department Accepting Applications for Jailers

If you'd like to be a jailer, the Bossier City Police Department wants YOU. The department is accepting applications for the job, which comes with a starting annual pay of $31,200. Candidates are also eligible for state supplemental pay of $500 a month after one year on the job. You have to be at least 21, have a valid Louisiana driver's license and a standard high school education or equivalent. You also have to successfully pass a civil service test, which will be given at a later date. If you want to pick up an application, you can do that Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the BCPD administrative office on Benton Road. The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. on June 19th.
