Bossier City Man Arrested for Tuesday Night Stabbing

Bossier City police have arrested a man for a stabbing last night at the Homewood Courtyard Apartments. Police were called out to the apartment complex in the 700 block of Wanda Street at around 5 last night and talked with 60-year-old Herman Allen Levy, who was standing outside the apartment. When officers went inside, they found 53-year-old Charles Ray Alexander with cuts to his neck and arm. He was taken to LSU Hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening stab wounds. During their investigation, police learned that Levy had just moved in with Alexander hours before the stabbing...but the motive remains unknown. Levy was booked into the Bossier City Jail on an aggravated battery charge. He was later transferred to Bossier Max.
