Bossier City police have arrested a local man for threatening an officer through social media.

Police say 19-year-old Kemonte Gilmore was behind a police officer's vehicle in a restaurant drive-thru, when he apparently decided to make a video. In it, he said he wanted to shoot and kill the officer.

The suspect is shown with a handgun, and he's talking about the recent police shootings across the country, while threatening the officer. Detectives were alerted to the video at around 11 a.m. yesterday.

A warrant, signed by a district court judge, was issued for Gilmore's arrest, and investigators began searching for him. Before they could catch up with him, he turned himself in to Bossier City detectives without incident. He's charged with public intimidation.

Bossier City police remind the public they take all threats toward law enforcement officers seriously, and will act accordingly.
