Bossier City police arrested a man Monday night after he cut his stepson multiple times with a knife during an altercation inside their residence.

41-year old Freddie Leonard Toney was booked into the Bossier City Jail on a charge of second degree aggravated battery in connection with the incident.

Police responded to Toney’s house in the 600 block of Thompson Street at approximately 10:15 p.m. Monday in reference to stabbing. When officers arrived they found 24-year old Bradley Houston Jr. outside the house with cuts to his face, abdomen and arm. Officers then made contact with Toney who was still inside the house. Bossier City Fire Department personnel took Houston to LSU Hospital in Shreveport with wounds that are not believed to be life threatening.

Upon further investigation Toney was taken into custody and booked into jail. Police also located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the residence. As a result, Toney was booked on additional charges of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Houston will also face those same drug charges upon his release from the hospital.
