Bossier City Man Accused Of Abusing 5-Year-Old Relative
The Bossier City Police Department’s Juvenile Unit arrested a man accused of physically abusing a little girl with whom he is related.
26-year old Jimmy Wayne McGee of Bossier City was arrested on a charge of felony cruelty of a juvenile after police responded to Willis Knighton-Bossier Wednesday night in reference to a 5-year old girl who was brought to the emergency room with significant bruises on her face and torso. Police learned a family member brought the girl to the hospital upon noticing her injuries.
During the course of the investigation, police developed McGee as the suspect and made contact with him within a few hours. Police brought McGee to the police department for questioning in regard to the child’s injuries. He was subsequently arrested and booked into the Bossier City Jail. McGee was also booked a bench warrant for failure to appear. The little girl was treated at the hospital and released to a family member.
