The Bossier City Fire Department will hold its annual Fire Safety Show at the Home Depot, 2800 Airline Drive, on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. The fire department puts on the event ever year as part of the Home Depot’s Safety Day.

The event is open to the public and held in conjunction with National Fire Prevention Week which runs from October 6 through October 12. Everyone is invited to drop by the Home Depot parking lot, meet with Bossier City firefighters and get an up close look at firefighting equipment that will be on display. Personnel with the BCFD’s Emergency Medical Services Division will be on hand to offer free basic health screenings. The BCFD’s Fire Safety Smoke House will also be there to teach children home fire safety and fire escape skills.

The Home Depot will also offer activities including a workshop where children can build their own handmade creations.
