“Boom” At Goex Minden Heard For Miles Around
Residents of Minden, Haughton, Bossier City and many other communities awoke to a load “boom” just after 6:15 this morning. We got an update shortly after the explosion. Hear the interview:

Bossier Parish Homeland Security Director Sammy Halphen says 1,000 pounds of black powder at GOEX exploded. 5 employees were in the building when the incident occurred. One person was hurt, though the injury is not believed to be life threatening. That person was taken to to Minden Medical Center.
