More public meetings to discuss the upcoming bond election are scheduled for this week and next. The first of two public meetings this week is set for six this evening at Louisiana Technical College on North Market.Another will be held at six tomorrow evening at Captain Shreve High School. City officials will be on hand at both of those meetings to outline the bond proposal and answer questions about it. Handouts will also be available. In addition, the Broadmoor Neighborhood Association is getting its own overview of the bond issue at its regular monthly meeting this evening. The $175-million bond package will be on the April 2nd ballot. Early voting for that election is going on right now at the Caddo Registrar's Office.
