Boil Advisory for Some Residents in the Haughton Area

A boil advisory has been issued for the Village Water System in the Haughton area.

This includes all of the Forest Hill subdivision. The problem is a result of some sort of power glitch. An electrical short knocked the system's water plant out of service.

You should boil your water for a full minute before drinking it or using it to cook. The advisory includes water used for drinking, brushing teeth, food preparation and making ice and fountain drinks.

The advisory will be lifted after health department testing shows the water is safe to drink.
