Deray Mckesson, a Black Lives Matter activist, is suing the city of Baton Rouge over his arrest last month. Mckesson was one of nearly 200 protesters arrested following the shooting death of Alton Sterling. The Baltimore native is accusing the city and police officials of violating his civil rights and using excessive force.

Baton Rouge DA Hillar Moore previously announced that Mckesson would not be prosecuted by his office.
