Shreveport patrol officers were called to a theft at the Fairfield Place Bed and Breakfast in the 2200 block of Fairfield Avenue.

The complainant told police several kitchen items of significant value had allegedly been taken from the home by an employee who was still at the home. Property Crimes Detectives gathered evidence and information linking 34-year-old Terri Bowen of Benton to the theft. She was employed at the business when the thefts happened.

During their interviews, investigators learned that Bowen reportedly stole items -- including various pieces of silver -- from the home, pawning a number of the pieces for cash. The value of the items stolen was about $30,000. Bowen has been charged with theft. Authorities are trying to assist in the return of some of the stolen property.
