Baton Rouge Police Issue Warrant in LSU Hit-and-Run Death
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Baton Rouge Police have issued an arrest warrant for a Vacherie man in connection with the June 20 traffic death of 20-year-old LSU student Eric Fabre.
Police on Friday identified the suspect as 35-year-old Janneh L. Trench.
Fabre was riding his motorized scooter when, police say, a vehicle rear-ended the scooter. Fabre died. The driver fled.
Police found a burned vehicle believed to have been involved in the accident hours later.
Trench is wanted on charges of hit and run, reckless operation, obstruction of justice and operating a vehicle while under suspension.
