Barney’s Police Supplies Opens in Bossier City

Barney's Police Supplies is opening its sixth location, and it'll be in Heart of Bossier Shopping Center in Bossier City.

Company President/Owner Tim Heinzen says the new store will better serve first responders, military personnel and the general public.

"As we open our sixth location here in Bossier City, Louisiana, we do so with the commitment of developing customer trust by providing high-quality merchandise, personal customer service with knowledge of our customers' needs," Heinzen said in a news release.

Barney's carries a full line of firearms -- new and used -- ammo, apparel, footwear, tactical and duty gear from all the major brands. It's also the largest distributor of law enforcement Glock firearms in Louisiana and Mississippi, but also carries Remington, Springfield, Kimber and Core 15 rifles and ammunition. Customers can also find tactical apparel, knives, targets, gun cases, scopes, gun cleaning supplies and more.

Other Barney's stores are located in Lafayette, Lake Charles and Metairie, Louisiana, and Gulfport and Tupelo, Mississippi.

The Grand Opening of the Bossier City location is set for August 20, with a ribbon-cutting between 11AM and noon.
