It's springtime in the Ark-La-Tex and that means that it's time again for the big Barksdale "Defenders of Liberty" air show.Major Joseph Babboni is the director of this year's show and he says there'll be as much to see and do on the ground as there will be in the air. Highlighting the "aerial" part of the show this year will be the Air Combat Command's F-22 demonstration team -- making its first appearance. The Air Force sees the yearly show as a way to say "Thank You" to the civilian community for all of its support while, at the same time, showcasing base personnel doing what they do best. Gates to the base open at nine o'clock Saturday and Sunday morning. The first "aerial" act will take to the sky about 10:30.
