Traffic was backed up all the way down Northgate Road in Bossier City during the Barksdale Defenders of Liberty Air Show.

Though the show was canceled Sunday due to the possibility of severe weather, including tornadoes, we're hearing that between 60,000 and 70,000 people made it out to watch The Thunderbirds and other air performers Saturday.

Things started backing up shortly before 9 a.m., when the base gates opened, and didn't slack off until just before 3 p.m. A wreck on Airline at Old Minden sometime around noon made it all the more difficult to navigate through the area.
