Barksdale Air Show Cancelled
The Barksdale Air Force Base 2013 Defenders of Liberty Air Show has been cancelled. The event was scheduled for May 4th and 5th, but the Air Force says sequestration cuts force this event to be cancelled.
According to a news release, base officials were hoping to continue the show once a budget agreement could be reached. However, officials say the impact of sequestration continue to grow on the Air Force. The Air Force also suspended tuition assistance on Monday.
No word on the status of next year's show.
