Bank Robber Caught

An arrest has been made in connection with a robbery at the Capital One Bank branch in the 5700 block of Youree Drive.  22-year-old Timothy Mathew, who's from New Mexico, has been booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count each of simple robbery, resisting an officer, and attempted simple escape.  Sergeant Bill Goodin says the robber walked up to one of the tellers just before 2:45; told her he had a gun; and demanded money.  With an undisclosed amount of cash in hand, he took off running.  Employees gave police a good description of the robber and a little over an hour later a man matching that description was spotted and taken into custody Youree Drive and East Bert Kouns.  After questioning, police booked Mathew.
